We are pleased to announce that the 2021 Joint DVM/DCB Southeastern Regional Society of Integrative and Comparative Biology (SICB) meeting will be held Saturday, November 6th, 2021 at Zoo Atlanta in Atlanta, GA.

The meeting will comprise of a full day of 6-minute talks (5 minutes for presentation plus one minute for Q&A), as well as a poster session covering topics pertaining to morphology and biomechanics. There will be a monetary award sponsored by the national DCB & DVM divisions for best student oral presentation & best student poster presentation. All participants are automatically up for the award.

We especially encourage student talks, as the regional meetings provide a friendly environment in which to share research progress and new ideas. Talks will be interspersed with coffee breaks and a catered lunch, giving plenty of opportunity for an informal discussion. Lunch will be accompanied by a walking tour of Zoo Atlanta. The meetings will finish at approximately 4 PM on Saturday, which will give people some time to decompress and enjoy the historic district before an evening of southern coastal cuisine and craft beer!

After the conference will be an informal social at a To-be determined location!

Please see the Hotel page for information on reserving rooms, and the Travel page for maps, directions, and things to do in Charleston. The Registration page will be updated with a form to sign up for the meeting as an attendee and/or presenter. There you will be able to enter preference for the box lunch as well as a presentation title and some brief keywords. Currently, we are predicting the registration will be free. The deadline for registration is Friday, October 22nd.

Currently, we are working on sponsors to provide travel scholarships to allow undergraduate and graduate students to attend and will update the meeting page when we have more information.
